Expenses can be used for personal documentation or for business purposes. Automile offers a few standard categories: Fuel, Mileage, Spare Parts, Parking, Toll or Other. If you find that you need to be more specific with your expenses, we do provide the option to add notes to any expense.
To add a new expense:
- Select 'Expenses' from the left main navigation bar, and click on Add New on the top right corner.
2. Select the vehicle the expense is associated with from the drop-down, and click on 'Add an expense to get started'.
3. Enter the amount and tax. You can also upload an image of your expense.
4. Choose a category or add notes to categorize the expense. Once you have entered all the relevant information, click 'Add', and you're done! You can review or add more expenses before saving the expense for a vehicle.
Once you have entered an expense, you will be able to edit or delete the expense from the drop-down on the right. You can also "View" each expense for images or adding additional notes. You can download the expense as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
